Energy Efficiency in Operations
Energy savings are proven at the meter. We measure use by site, asset and route, make the changes and track each one against the readings.
Questions we help answer
- Which sites, assets or routes use the most energy per unit of output?
- How much do we spend running equipment when nobody is using it?
- Would route planning or fleet changes cut our fuel use?
- Do on-site solar, battery storage or EV charging make sense for our sites?
- How do we prove a saving after we make a change?
What we do
Energy and fuel baseline
Meter, sub-meter, smart-meter and fuel card data consolidated by site, asset and vehicle.
Operational savings
Scheduling, set points, out-of-hours load and equipment settings reviewed against measured consumption.
Fleet and route efficiency
Fuel per route, empty running and idling analyzed from telematics and fuel records.
Investment cases
Solar, storage, EV charging, lighting and equipment upgrades assessed with measured load data.
Savings tracking
Before and after comparisons adjusted for weather, occupancy and volume.

How we approach it
- 01
Read the meters
We collect half-hourly or interval data where it exists, together with invoices, fuel cards and operating hours.
- 02
Find the waste in the load profile
Night, weekend and closed-season consumption shows equipment running without a purpose.
- 03
Change and record
Each change is logged with its date and scope so its effect can be isolated in the data.
- 04
Report savings on adjusted figures
Savings are reported after adjusting for weather and activity, site by site.

How an engagement with THEFOCUS starts
A first conversation is about your situation. If there is a fit, we propose a scoped diagnostic with a fixed deliverable before any larger commitment.
Discuss this with us01
A working conversation
Forty-five minutes with the person who would lead the work. We ask about the decision, the systems behind it and the deadline.
02
A scoped diagnostic
Read-only access, a fixed timeframe and a written finding: what the records show, what it costs and what to change first.
03
A plan you can act on
Changes, owners, measures and exclusions in writing. The same team then builds and measures, or hands over cleanly.
- One accountable team
- The people who diagnose also build the systems and measure the result.
- Partners chosen per problem
- Independent specializts join for the parts that need them, under one contract.
- Records before dashboards
- Orders, ledgers and logs are reconciled before any recommendation depends on them.
Questions executives ask
Do you sell or install equipment?
No. We have no equipment to sell. We assess options with your measured data and help you compare vendor proposals, and installation is carried out by contractors you appoint.
What data do you need?
Meter readings or interval data where available, utility and fuel invoices, fuel card or telematics exports, and operating hours or output figures by site.
