E-commerce Growth & Marketplaces
We follow the path an order takes, from product data and feed to page, cart, checkout and fulfilment, and fix what stops it.
Questions we help answer
- Where exactly do customers leave between product page and paid order, by device and market?
- Why are products disapproved or missing from Google Shopping and Meta catalogues?
- Should we replatform, and how do we move products, customers and order history without losing any?
- Which marketplaces suit our range and margin, and how do we keep price and stock consistent across them?
- Are our email and SMS flows sending, and which orders did they produce?
What we do
Store and funnel diagnostic
Sessions, product views, carts, checkouts and orders by device, market and traffic source, read from the store's own records as well as analytics.
Product data and feeds
Titles, attributes, identifiers, categories and variant structure, with Merchant Center and catalogue diagnostics resolved at the source field the feed actually reads.
Conversion and checkout
Product pages, cart, shipping thresholds, payment methods, checkout errors and field Core Web Vitals, each change tied to an acceptance check.
Replatforming and migration
Products, customers and historical orders moved with record counts and sampled checks against the source, and redirects for every URL search engines already know.
Marketplaces and sales channels
Range, pricing and stock rules for marketplaces alongside the own store, with listings and feeds kept consistent from one product record.
Lifecycle email and SMS
Welcome, abandoned-cart, post-purchase and win-back flows, with a check that each one sends, that plan quotas allow it to, and a record of the orders it produced.
How we approach it
- 01
Follow the order path
We place test orders on mobile and desktop in each market and read where real customers drop out before proposing changes.
- 02
Change the store with a way back
Bulk product, price and collection edits run only after a full snapshot of the prior state, so any change can be reversed record by record.
- 03
Check every template
A fix is verified on every page type that renders the same products, including collection, search and landing templates.
- 04
Verify downstream
Success is read in feed approvals, recorded orders and sent emails. A settings page showing the integration as connected counts as no evidence.

Listing platform prototype and build specification for a cross-border property agency
A licensed property agency selling homes and investment property in several countries wanted one platform for its own stock, partner listings and new developments. We built a clickable prototype, a headless storefront build and a written specification for the full listing and enquiry platform.

Search advertising built around phone and booking enquiries for an independent car rental company
An independent car rental company takes most of its bookings by phone and through enquiries rather than a single online checkout. We ran its search advertising over several seasons with phone-call leads, contact enquiries and booking requests set as the goals the campaigns bid towards.
Account run on lead goals over several seasons; performance figures not published

How an engagement with THEFOCUS starts
A first conversation is about your situation. If there is a fit, we propose a scoped diagnostic with a fixed deliverable before any larger commitment.

A working conversation
Forty-five minutes with the person who would lead the work. We ask about the decision, the systems behind it and the deadline.
02
A scoped diagnostic
Read-only access, a fixed timeframe and a written finding: what the records show, what it costs and what to change first.
03
A plan you can act on
Changes, owners, measures and exclusions in writing. The same team then builds and measures, or hands over cleanly.
- One accountable team
- The people who diagnose also build the systems and measure the result.
- Partners chosen per problem
- Independent specialists join for the parts that need them, under one contract.
- Records before dashboards
- Orders, ledgers and logs are reconciled before any recommendation depends on them.
Questions executives ask
Which e-commerce platforms do you work on?
Most recent work has been on Shopify, with migrations from other hosted and self-built platforms. We assess other platforms on the same terms and bring in a specialist partner where one is better placed.
Do you build store themes and features?
Yes. We build and adjust themes, sections and integrations, working in a draft theme first so the live store changes only when you publish.
