AI Search Visibility (AEO & GEO)
We make sure AI answer engines can reach your site, can tell which organization you are and find first-hand evidence worth citing, then track what they say about you.
Questions we help answer
- Do ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google's AI features describe our business correctly when buyers ask about our category?
- Is our firewall or CDN blocking the crawlers AI search depends on?
- Can we allow AI search access to our content while refusing its use for model training?
- How much traffic do AI Overviews and AI Mode send us, and is it changing?
- Do we need an llms.txt file?
What we do
Crawler and access audit
Robots.txt rules per documented user agent, including OAI-SearchBot, GPTBot, PerplexityBot and Google-Extended, tested against firewall and CDN behavior, with snippet controls reviewed page by page.
Entity and identity consistency
Legal name, trading name, registered number and address shown in plain text, Organization markup that matches it, and the same facts on Google Business Profile, Merchant Center, directories and marketplace profiles.
Citable content
Pages built on the evidence, methods and data only your business holds, with authorship and dates, and plain answers to the questions buyers ask.
Product data for AI shopping
Catalog attributes, feeds and structured data that match the visible page, so shopping features in answer engines and Google read the same facts as customers.
Observation and reporting
Search Console traffic from Google AI features, and a fixed set of buyer questions sampled across engines on a schedule, recorded as observations.

How we approach it
- 01
Decide crawler policy deliberately
Search access and training use are set separately for each provider where the provider allows it, and the decision and reason are recorded per user agent.
- 02
Test at the edge
We check that the policy holds at the firewall and CDN as well as in robots.txt, because an edge rule can override it without anyone deciding to.
- 03
Remove ambiguity about who you are
One set of entity facts is published on the site and repeated across every profile you control.
- 04
Publish what only you know
Content work concentrates on first-hand material such as methods, specifications, data and worked cases, which commodity pages cannot supply.
- 05
Observe and record
Answers are sampled on a fixed schedule and logged without interpretation as rankings, so change over time is visible.

How an engagement with THEFOCUS starts
A first conversation is about your situation. If there is a fit, we propose a scoped diagnostic with a fixed deliverable before any larger commitment.

A working conversation
Forty-five minutes with the person who would lead the work. We ask about the decision, the systems behind it and the deadline.
02
A scoped diagnostic
Read-only access, a fixed timeframe and a written finding: what the records show, what it costs and what to change first.
03
A plan you can act on
Changes, owners, measures and exclusions in writing. The same team then builds and measures, or hands over cleanly.
- One accountable team
- The people who diagnose also build the systems and measure the result.
- Partners chosen per problem
- Independent specializts join for the parts that need them, under one contract.
- Records before dashboards
- Orders, ledgers and logs are reconciled before any recommendation depends on them.
Questions executives ask
Can you guarantee we will be cited?
No. Google, OpenAI and Perplexity document how their crawlers reach websites but do not publish how sources are chosen for an answer. We work on access, clarity and content you control, and report what the engines say as observations.
Should we publish an llms.txt file?
It is optional. Google states that Google Search does not use llms.txt, and the other providers' crawler documentation does not mention it. Some coding agents and tools read it, so we publish one where that use applies and never present it as a ranking factor.
How does this differ from SEO?
It rests on the same foundations, since Google's AI features draw on pages that are indexed and eligible for a snippet. The additional work covers crawlers from other providers, edge rules, entity consistency and tracking how answers describe you.
