Generative AI & Agents
We build assistants and agents that answer from your own content, act only through permissions you approve, and are tested on the questions your customers and staff actually ask.
Questions we help answer
- Can an assistant answer customer questions about our products, policies and orders without inventing anything?
- Which back-office tasks, such as drafting quotes, coding invoices or summarizing tickets, can a model do with a person approving?
- What should an agent be allowed to do on its own, and what needs a human decision?
- How do we know the assistant still answers correctly after the model or our content changes?
- What will it cost per conversation or per task?
What we do
Assistants grounded in your content
Customer and staff assistants that retrieve answers from your documents, product data and policies, show the source, refuse questions outside scope and hand over to a person.
Drafting and document tools
Quotes, product descriptions, service replies and reports drafted by a model and approved by a named role before anything leaves the business.
Task agents and workflow automation
Agents that read and write in the CRM, helpdesk, store or accounting system through scoped permissions, with an approval step for anything that spends money, contacts a customer or deletes data.
Evaluation and regression suites
Must and must-not tests built from real questions and cases, run on every change to the model, prompt or content, with results kept as a release record.
Monitoring and running cost
Logging of inputs, outputs and actions, cost per task, alerts when accuracy or cost drifts, and a documented way to switch the feature off.

How we approach it
- 01
Write the job and its limits
Each feature starts as a one-page specification: the task, the data it may see, the actions it may take and the answers it must never give.
- 02
Ground it in your sources
Answers come from content you control and maintain, so a policy change on the site changes the assistant's reply.
- 03
Test on real inputs
We collect real questions and cases before building, read every reply during testing, and turn each failure into a permanent test.
- 04
Release behind approval gates
Features go live to staff or a share of traffic first, with human approval on consequential actions until the results justify widening.

How an engagement with THEFOCUS starts
A first conversation is about your situation. If there is a fit, we propose a scoped diagnostic with a fixed deliverable before any larger commitment.

A working conversation
Forty-five minutes with the person who would lead the work. We ask about the decision, the systems behind it and the deadline.
02
A scoped diagnostic
Read-only access, a fixed timeframe and a written finding: what the records show, what it costs and what to change first.
03
A plan you can act on
Changes, owners, measures and exclusions in writing. The same team then builds and measures, or hands over cleanly.
- One accountable team
- The people who diagnose also build the systems and measure the result.
- Partners chosen per problem
- Independent specializts join for the parts that need them, under one contract.
- Records before dashboards
- Orders, ledgers and logs are reconciled before any recommendation depends on them.
Questions executives ask
Can an AI agent act on its own in our systems?
Within limits you set. Read-only and low-consequence actions can run unattended. Anything that spends money, contacts a customer or deletes data waits for a named person's approval, and every action is logged.
What happens when the underlying model changes?
The regression suite runs again before the new model reaches users. If accuracy falls on any must-pass case, the change is held until the prompt, retrieval or model choice is corrected.
Who owns the prompts, code and test data?
You do. They are delivered into your repositories and accounts, documented so your team or another supplier can maintain them.
