AI Strategy & Value Case
We turn a long list of AI ideas into a few funded uses, each tied to a line in the accounts and measured against how the task runs today.
Questions we help answer
- Where would AI change a number in our P&L, and how far could that number plausibly move?
- Which of the AI pilots we already run should we fund, fix or stop?
- What will each use cost to run per month once real volume arrives?
- Do we have the data and the process to support it, or does something else need fixing first?
- Should we build, buy a tool, or wait for our existing software vendors to add the feature?
What we do
Use-case inventory and triage
Ideas and live pilots collected from every function and scored on the P&L line they affect, data readiness, risk and build effort.
Baseline measurement
Volume, time, cost and error rate for each shortlisted task, taken from tickets, logs, timesheets and ledgers as the work runs today.
Value and running-cost case
An expected range of effect against the baseline, with running cost per task covering model usage, retrieval, monitoring and human review, and the volume at which the feature pays for itself.
Build, buy or wait
Custom build compared with off-the-shelf tools and with features your current vendors have announced, on cost, data terms, lock-in and time to use.
Roadmap with stop rules
A sequence of two or three quarters in which each use has an owner, a target measure, a review date and the result that would end it.

How we approach it
- 01
Start from the ledger and the logs
Candidate uses are tied to recorded cost or revenue lines before anyone discusses models.
- 02
Narrow to a few
We recommend the handful of uses with the clearest line, the cleanest data and the lowest risk, and record why the others wait.
- 03
Prove it on a slice
Each use is piloted on a real subset of work alongside a comparable subset handled the current way.
- 04
Decide on the measure
At the review date the pilot is scaled, changed or stopped according to the rule written at the start.

How an engagement with THEFOCUS starts
A first conversation is about your situation. If there is a fit, we propose a scoped diagnostic with a fixed deliverable before any larger commitment.
Discuss this with us01
A working conversation
Forty-five minutes with the person who would lead the work. We ask about the decision, the systems behind it and the deadline.
02
A scoped diagnostic
Read-only access, a fixed timeframe and a written finding: what the records show, what it costs and what to change first.
03
A plan you can act on
Changes, owners, measures and exclusions in writing. The same team then builds and measures, or hands over cleanly.
- One accountable team
- The people who diagnose also build the systems and measure the result.
- Partners chosen per problem
- Independent specializts join for the parts that need them, under one contract.
- Records before dashboards
- Orders, ledgers and logs are reconciled before any recommendation depends on them.
Questions executives ask
How long does an AI value case take?
It depends on how many functions are involved and how quickly task data can be read. We agree the scope and the tasks to measure at the start, and the roadmap follows directly from the baselines.
Will the plan recommend AI everywhere?
No. Where a rule, a better form or a clean report solves the problem more cheaply, the plan says so and the use case is closed.
