Local & Professional Services
A plumber, clinic or solicitor wins most new customers through a local search, a map listing and a phone call. LocalBoostHQ, our live service brand, builds and runs the parts of that chain a small business rarely has time to maintain.

At the start of 2025 there were 5.7 million private sector businesses in the UK, of which 5.64 million were small businesses with 0 to 49 employees.

The CMA's fake reviews guidance, published on 4 April 2025, requires businesses that publish consumer reviews to take reasonable and proportionate steps to prevent and remove fake and concealed incentivised reviews.
For most local service businesses, the map listing and the first page of local results decide whether a prospective customer calls at all.
Business challenges
01
A map listing nobody maintains
Opening hours, service areas, categories and photos on a Google Business Profile drift out of date, while the listing is often what decides whether the phone rings.
02
Websites that bury the first three answers
Visitors want to know whether the business covers their area, what it does and how to book. Many small-business sites make them hunt for all three.
03
Reviews under the new UK rules
Since April 2025, commissioning fake reviews or hiding genuine negative ones is a banned practice in the UK. Review requests and moderation need to work within that law.
04
Ad spend with no call record
Local ads often run with no record of which calls they produced, so the owner cannot tell a good month from a bad one or decide whether to keep spending.
Where the opportunity sits
Pages that match how people search
We build service and location pages around the trades and areas a business actually covers, with structured data and the same contact details on the site and the listing.
A review process that holds up
Ask every customer, publish every genuine review and keep a record of requests, so the rating reflects real experience and the process can be explained if anyone asks.
Monthly billing with no long contract
LocalBoostHQ is billed month to month, which suits owners who want to see results on their own phone before committing further.
How we approach it
For most local businesses the work runs through LocalBoostHQ. That covers a website, Google Business Profile set-up and optimization, on-page and local SEO and, on larger plans, Google and Meta advertising, with each element tied to a measurable action such as a call, a form or a booking request. Professional and multi-site practices with more complex needs work directly with THEFOCUS, where the same team adds measurement design, CRM integration and management reporting.
How our experience is evidenced
Evidenced by LocalBoostHQ, a live service brand and trading name of THEFOCUS LTD serving local businesses in the United Kingdom (localboosthq.com) and Türkiye (localboosthq.com.tr). We do not publish client counts or results for it.
