Business Continuity & Operational Resilience
A continuity plan earns trust once its recovery steps have been run. We map dependencies from system data and test the steps that matter most.
Questions we help answer
- If our booking, e-commerce or ERP platform went down tomorrow, how long could we keep trading?
- Which single logins, cards, suppliers or people could stop the business?
- Have we ever restored a backup, and how long did it take?
- What do we do if our main supplier or carrier fails during peak season?
- Which services matter most, and how much disruption can each tolerate?
What we do
Dependency mapping
The systems, suppliers, payment methods, domains, admin accounts and people each critical service relies on.
Important services and tolerances
The services that matter most and how much disruption each can absorb, agreed with leadership.
Recovery plans and runbooks
Step-by-step recovery for each critical dependency, with named owners and contact routes.
Recovery tests
Backup restores, failover checks and supplier fallbacks run as exercises, with timings recorded.
Single points of failure
Shared ownership of admin access, backup payment methods, and renewal tracking for domains, certificates and contracts.

How we approach it
- 01
Map from the systems
Account settings, billing records, DNS, integrations and supplier records show what each service depends on, including items nobody listed.
- 02
Agree priorities with leadership
Services are ranked by their effect on customers and cash, and a tolerance is set for each.
- 03
Run the recovery steps
We test restores and fallbacks in controlled conditions and record how long each step takes against the tolerance.
- 04
Fix and retest
Gaps found in testing are closed, and the test is repeated on a schedule.

How an engagement with THEFOCUS starts
A first conversation is about your situation. If there is a fit, we propose a scoped diagnostic with a fixed deliverable before any larger commitment.
Discuss this with us01
A working conversation
Forty-five minutes with the person who would lead the work. We ask about the decision, the systems behind it and the deadline.
02
A scoped diagnostic
Read-only access, a fixed timeframe and a written finding: what the records show, what it costs and what to change first.
03
A plan you can act on
Changes, owners, measures and exclusions in writing. The same team then builds and measures, or hands over cleanly.
- One accountable team
- The people who diagnose also build the systems and measure the result.
- Partners chosen per problem
- Independent specialists join for the parts that need them, under one contract.
- Records before dashboards
- Orders, ledgers and logs are reconciled before any recommendation depends on them.
Questions executives ask
Do you certify business continuity management systems?
No. We do not issue certifications. If you are pursuing one, our plans and test records can form part of the evidence an accredited body reviews.
Will recovery tests disrupt live trading?
We design them not to. Restores run into separate environments and supplier fallbacks are tested with small orders. Anything that could reach customers is scheduled with your operations lead.
