Capability Building & Academies
Teams learn fastest on their own data. We build skills programs around the reports, tools and decisions people will use the following Monday.
Questions we help answer
- Can our team run and change these systems after the project ends?
- Which skills do our managers need to read and act on the new reports?
- How do we bring analytics, automation or AI skills into teams that have never had them?
- Which capabilities should we build in-house and which should we keep buying in?
- How do we train seasonal staff without starting from scratch every year?
What we do
Capability assessment
A skills map by role, based on the tasks each role performs in the systems it uses.
Role-based learning paths
Short modules for managers, analysts and operators, built on the client's own reports, tools and procedures.
Working sessions on live data
Teams solve current business problems with their own data while we guide and review the work.
Runbooks and playbooks
Written procedures for maintaining reports, automations and workflows, kept with the systems they describe.
Seasonal onboarding kits
Reusable induction material and system guides for businesses that hire for peak periods.

How we approach it
- 01
Start from tasks
We list the tasks each role must perform in the new systems and assess current skills against them.
- 02
Teach on the real system
Sessions run in the client's own tools and data, so nothing has to be translated from an example back to daily work.
- 03
Hand over in stages
Ownership of each report or automation moves to a named person in the client team, with our review at first and then without it.
- 04
Check what stuck
Some weeks after training we ask people to complete real tasks unaided and update the program where they struggle.

How an engagement with THEFOCUS starts
A first conversation is about your situation. If there is a fit, we propose a scoped diagnostic with a fixed deliverable before any larger commitment.

A working conversation
Forty-five minutes with the person who would lead the work. We ask about the decision, the systems behind it and the deadline.
02
A scoped diagnostic
Read-only access, a fixed timeframe and a written finding: what the records show, what it costs and what to change first.
03
A plan you can act on
Changes, owners, measures and exclusions in writing. The same team then builds and measures, or hands over cleanly.
- One accountable team
- The people who diagnose also build the systems and measure the result.
- Partners chosen per problem
- Independent specializts join for the parts that need them, under one contract.
- Records before dashboards
- Orders, ledgers and logs are reconciled before any recommendation depends on them.
Questions executives ask
Do your programs lead to accredited qualifications?
No. Our programs are practical and built on your systems. They do not lead to accredited qualifications or certificates.
Can specializts deliver parts of the program?
Yes. Where a program needs a specializt, such as a platform expert or a learning designer, we bring in an independent partner chosen for that engagement.
